How To Prepare KUNNU DRINK in Nigeria

Kunnu is a Nutritious Drink, rich in Protein and Fiber, It contains a lots of vitamins and minerals.
Kunnu is derived mainly from grains of Millet, Sorghum or Corn.
and it's very common in Northern Parts Of Nigeria.

Doctors say that a regular intake of soluble fibre - along with regular exercise and sensible eating - can help reduce the level of cholesterol (fat) in the blood,thus reducing heart attacks. 
This particular formula of KUNNU drink is a delicious way to increase fibre intake. It also increases lactation in nursing mothers and is energy giving. So before long, everybody who is anybody will be drinking it. 
    
RAW MATERIALS 

  • Millet, Sorghum or Corn.
  • Sugar
  • Ginger
  • Honey preservative 

PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING KUNNU 
1. Wash the Millet, Sorghum or Corn.

2. Soak 1,000 grams (about 1 Congo or module) of Millet, Sorghum or Corn. for 8 hours. Rinse

3. Add 2 spoonfuls of grind ginger

4. Grind very well, 

5. Pour 12 litres (3 gallons)  of boiling water

6. Leave the solution for one day (24 hours). Sieve.

7. Add 4 litres (1 gallon) of water

8. Add sugar (to taste) and 0.5 litres of honey
